For best results, use a high-quality wig detangler after washing it. Jon Renau HD Smooth Detangler is a great choice. Use caution when applying the detangler. Touching hand-tied sections could cause the contents to loosen from their attachment to lace.

It is important to keep it in top condition by brushing gently with a wide toothed hair comb and combing regularly. Over-combing can cause loose strands to become untangled, or even frizz up. This could lead to tangling and frizzing. Jon Renau HD smooth detangler is an excellent light-weight detangler to mist on damp wigs. However, do not spray conditioner directly onto the knots of the lace.

This will ensure that the fibers do not become frizzy during air drying. You can use this technique for styles with longer hair, such as the low ponytail and upswept styles to reduce friction.
