God's nature is utterly untainted by wrong; the Holy God is the creator of virtues like honesty, patience, purity, holiness, love, and much more, and this is the blueprint He followed when designing our planet.
Do People Who Do Not Believe In God Go To Heaven?God's rules for us are based on His own character, not just to make things tough for us. His potential for change or growth is nonexistent. God won't behave in ways that are against His being.
It's like the rules that can never be changed, no matter what.
The God spoken of in the Bible is the one who created everything in the universe, including the invisible bits. Find out what the Bible says in this section:
"I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols. (Isaiah 42:8)
For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God. (Deuteronomy 4:24)
The LORD is exalted over all the nations, his glory above the heavens. (Psalm 113:4)
Yours, LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. (1 Chronicles 29:11)
All the angels were standing around the throne...They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, (Revelation 7:11)
A lot of people today only know God in theory, they haven't had a genuine interaction with Him.
Everything in the universe belongs to God, including us, and He wants what's His. His command is to love and serve Him in return.
It's tough to accept, but God has complete control over the world like it's His toy to play with. If we created it, we would be able to determine what the guidelines are. But God makes it clear:
'Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.' (Deuteronomy 6:5-6)
God could have removed the dangers out of this life, to make life easier, but only by making us all as obedient robots. But that's not what God wanted at all. He desired beings that could choose to love Him on their own.
A being that shared certain characteristics with God.
When individuals have free will, they might choose not to stay with you, and that's a danger.
Giving someone the freedom to decide can result in them defying you, and that's what happened to us.This is a problem, think about all the things we do or think or do that are wrong, this is often referred to as sin in the Bible. These things go completely against God's nature and holiness, and it's like breaking the unalterable laws of the universe that He created. Our bad choices have caused a separation between us and God.
'The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?'(Jeremiah 17:9)
'But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults.' (Psalm 19:12)
Be aware that every bad thing you do incurs a debt that must be paid to God.
What we owe to God:'And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.' (Matthew 6:12)
God's perfect purity is being violated by all of these things. Do you see it?
Have you ever stolen anything before? God says that's wrong in the Bible.
The Bible's wisdom cautions against coveting what others have. Have you ever felt envious of your friend's spouse, existence, belongings, or residence?
God commands that we honor our parents. Have you ever challenged your parents' authority by talking back to them?
God prohibits the use of His Name in vain or without reverence. Have you ever said God's Name disrespectfully or as a throwaway phrase?
There's nothing that God doesn't know; He knows it all. Remember, we saw that ALL the wrongs must be put right. A day will come when we must face the judgment of ALL the bad things. Another way to put it is, finding reconciliation with the unchangeable laws of the universe. In the Bible, it's referred to as satisfying God's anger. It's surprising to hear this because many have been taught that God loves everyone without exception. People have come to think that God would never be wrathful with someone, no matter what they do wrong. Constantly I hear people, ignorant of these basics, argue "But, God is supposed to love us unconditionally."
We can't just focus on God's love for the world, we also need to acknowledge His holiness. It's out of the question.
The nature of God, eternal in essence, defies our understanding when we apply our expectations, behavior, and earthly benchmarks.
He's beyond the limits of our understanding, and the Bible gives us a glimpse of who He is. Expecting God to follow our rules is like hoping for something that's not real and won't last.
People sometimes wrongly accuse God for the problems in the world, but it's not His fault. Everything was made perfectly. Adam messed up and we're still messing up.
As the Bible teaches...
'For all have sinned (done wrongs things), and do need the glory of God. wrongs' (Romans 3:23)
Good deeds and a good character won't save you from the punishment for bad thoughts and behavior. Nobody else can do it except for Jesus Christ. Just being a nice person and going to church doesn't give you a spot in heaven. We need to be honest with God about the things we've done wrong and ask for forgiveness with sincerity. Once we ask for forgiveness, we must live our lives entirely for God.
Again, the Bible warns us about the terrible results of our wrong choices, like going to hell:
'For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.' (Romans 6:23)
The Way God Took Care of Your Wrongdoing
Thankfully, God made a solution for all the bad things we do, so we can follow the unchangeable laws of the universe.Through Jesus Christ's death, burial, and resurrection, God fulfilled His glorious plan. The amazing plan was executed for all to see, including us humans, angels, and even Satan. Our bad behavior can only be corrected by this one means.
Some people say, "God is mean, but I thought He was loving." God is a loving entity., but, the Bible states that it's impossible to have God's love without His justice. They go hand in hand.
We can't expect to understand God with our own standards of thinking. We shouldn't try to force our rules onto God because it only deludes us. God knows everything you think, so you can't hide anything from Him.
After Saying Sorry, Give Your Life to God
When one is truly sorry for all the wrong they have done, they will automatically then, want to live for God. This is what God orders us to do. It's like making God the leader of our lives for eternity. We do whatever the Bible commands us to do.The Bible suggests that's the proper way to do things:
'Then he said to them all: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.' (Luke 9:23)
This wasn't said by God, ever; 'If you're kind and do good deeds, you'll be saved and come to heaven with me.'
Here's what the Most High God said about atoning for your sins:
'To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable:
"Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed:'God, I thank you that I am not like other people--robbers, evildoers, adulterers--or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.'
"But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said,'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'
"I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted." (Luke 18:9-14)
In the story, the religious man didn't do "bad" sins like rape, but he still wasn't forgiven by God.
Despite his cheating, the tax collector was forgiven by God because he repented. Admitting our mistakes and handing our lives over to God is a hard thing to do. Still, without it we cannot be saved from our wrongdoings, we must come to Almighty God very humble and helpless.
The words of Jesus were:
'He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them.
'And said, “Truly I say to you, unless you change and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.' (Matthew 18:2-3)
Being a genuinely good person won't clear your debt; not even an exceptionally virtuous individual can settle it.
'You were saved by faith in God, who treats us much better than we deserve. This is God's gift to you, and not anything you have done on your own.' (Ephesians 2:8)Would You Like To Admit Your Wrongs And Let Jesus Bear The Consequences, Or Not?
'Then he said to them all: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.' (Luke 9:23)Every day, we must live for God and put His will before our own.
The Bible points out that:
'Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God--this is your true and proper worship. (Romans 12:1)
'But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.' (1Peter 3:15)
To highlight the key points:
You recognize your faults and transgressions before God. You deeply apologize for your offense. Jesus Christ becomes your CEO. It's a lifelong devotion. We dedicate ourselves to living for God, as the Bible teaches us. Read the Bible daily to learn about God. Daily communication with God through prayer. Evangelizing and sharing God's message. Using our gifts to help those in need. You dedicate your life to serving the cause of God Most High forever.
Our Heavenly Father will take us to glorious heaven.
