There is no trace of impurity in God's nature; the Holy Creator is the mastermind behind attributes like honesty, patience, purity, holiness, love, and much more, and this is evident in the way He fashioned our planet. Can You Believe In God Religion?
God has certain expectations for us because of who He is, not because He wants to make things difficult. He is doomed to always be and do the same thing. God is limited to acting within the boundaries of His nature.
It's like the rules that can never be changed, no matter what.
The God of the Bible is responsible for creating everything in the universe, even the things we can't detect. Check the Bible for what it says in this section:
"I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols. (Isaiah 42:8)
For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God. (Deuteronomy 4:24)
The LORD is exalted over all the nations, his glory above the heavens. (Psalm 113:4)
Yours, LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. (1 Chronicles 29:11)
All the angels were standing around the throne...They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, (Revelation 7:11)
Many individuals today are familiar with the concept of God, but haven't experienced Him firsthand.
Everything belongs to God, even us, and He only wants what's rightfully His. He wants us to love and serve Him back for all the good He's done.
It's not always easy to understand, but God is the one who controls the world like it's His plaything. If we were the ones who made it, we would be able to decide what the rules are. However, what God says is:
'Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.' (Deuteronomy 6:5-6)
God could have removed all danger, but it would mean we wouldn't have free will and would be robots. But that's not what God wanted at all. He wanted creatures that could willingly and freely love Him.
A being that shared certain characteristics with God.
If you give someone the freedom to decide, they might choose to walk away from you, which is a danger.Giving someone the ability to choose for themselves can lead to them rebelling against you, and that's what we did.
This is a problem, think about all the things we do or think or do that are wrong, this is often referred to as sin in the Bible. These things completely oppose God's nature and holiness, and it's like breaking the unbreakable laws of the universe that He put in place. We've become distant from God because of these bad things we've done.
'The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?'(Jeremiah 17:9)
'But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults.' (Psalm 19:12)
Acknowledge that every wrong choice you make carries a responsibility towards God that must be fulfilled. What we must repay to God:
'And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.' (Matthew 6:12)
Do you see how these things don't fit with God's perfect purity?
God says stealing is wrong in the Bible. Have you ever stolen something before?
According to the Bible, it is a sin to covet what belongs to someone else. Have you ever found yourself feeling envious of your friend's wife, life, belongings, or residence?
God commands that we honor our parents. Have you ever been disrespectful to your parents by talking back?
God prohibits using His Name without reverence or in a trivial way. Have you ever used God's Name in a careless or disrespectful way?
From big to small, God knows it all. Remember, we saw that God can't let any bad thing go unresolved. There will come a time when ALL the bad things will be judged accordingly. In simpler terms, finding harmony with the unchanging laws of the universe. In the Bible, it's referred to as satisfying God's anger. This might be a shock to some people, since they believe that God loves everyone so much. It's common for people to believe that God could never be angry with anyone, regardless of their actions. Many people who don't know the basics argue that God is supposed to love us even if we sin.
We can't just talk about God's love for the world, we also need to understand His holiness. It's out of reach.
The eternal essence of God eludes comprehension when we try to apply our expectations, conduct, and worldly criteria.
The Bible shows us how God is from a world that's totally beyond our own. If we try to make God follow our rules, it's like hoping for something that's not real and won't last long.
People often point fingers at God for the bad things that happen, but it's not fair to blame Him. The creation was without imperfection. Adam messed up and we're still messing up.
The Bible says:
'For all have sinned (done wrongs things), and do need the glory of God. wrongs' (Romans 3:23)
Just being good and doing good things won't save you from the punishment for bad thoughts and actions. This can only be done by Jesus Christ. Going to church and being kind doesn't mean you'll go to heaven. We must genuinely apologize to God and seek forgiveness for the things we've done wrong. We have to dedicate our entire lives to God once we ask for forgiveness.
Again, the Bible explains that the outcome of our bad actions is eternal punishment in hell:
'For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.' (Romans 6:23)
How God Made Up for Your WrongdoingDon't stress, God has a plan to pay for all the bad things we do, so we can follow the unchangeable laws of the universe.
Jesus Christ was sent by God to die and rise again, as part of God's glorious plan. The glorious plan was enacted in front of all creation: humans, angels, and even Satan. No other approach can make things right for our wrongs.
People are always asking how God can be both strict and loving. Love is an integral part of God's being., but, as the Bible says, God's justice is an essential aspect of His love. You can't separate them.
It is impossible to understand the Eternal God by using our standards of thinking and expectations. Thinking God will comply with our rules is dangerous because it's not accurate. You can't hide your thoughts from God because He knows everything about you.
True Repentance Means Surrendering to GodOnce you've shown genuine remorse for your mistakes, you feel an urge to live a life devoted to God. God ordains us to do this. It's like making God the boss of our lives forever. We endeavor to follow all the precepts of the Bible.
The Bible shows us that's the right procedure to follow:
'Then he said to them all: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.' (Luke 9:23)
God didn't say that, not at any time; 'If you do good deeds and are a good person, you can come to heaven and be with me.'
Let me tell you what God said about repenting for your sins:
'To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable:
"Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed:'God, I thank you that I am not like other people--robbers, evildoers, adulterers--or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.'
"But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said,'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'
"I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted." (Luke 18:9-14)
The man in the story followed religion and didn't do "bad" sins like killing, but God still didn't forgive him.
Despite his cheating, the tax collector was forgiven by God because he repented. Surrendering our lives to God and admitting we were wrong is embarrassing. Yet, surrendering to God and admitting our faults is necessary for salvation.
The words of Jesus were:
'He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them.
'And said, “Truly I say to you, unless you change and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.' (Matthew 18:2-3)
Devoting oneself to virtuous deeds for God alone won't secure our salvation; salvation from hell isn't attained by being a good person.'You were saved by faith in God, who treats us much better than we deserve. This is God's gift to you, and not anything you have done on your own.' (Ephesians 2:8)
Would You Rather Repent And Let Jesus Pay For Your Wrongs, Or Not?'Then he said to them all: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.' (Luke 9:23)
We must live for God and put His will before our own every day, which is taking up our cross.
The Scriptures also remind us that:
'Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God--this is your true and proper worship. (Romans 12:1)
'But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.' (1Peter 3:15)
To say it another way:
You recognize your faults and transgressions before God. You truly repent for your transgression. Jesus Christ becomes your boss. It's a lifelong surrender to Jesus. The Bible instructs us to live for God, and that's what we do. Make it a habit to read the Bible every day. Daily communion with God through prayer. Telling others about God. Doing what we can to help others. You commit to serving God Most High with all your heart and soul for life.
And then our Heavenly Father will bring us to heaven.
