Rocket League hosts 2×2 Tournaments in Season 4

Season 3 has reached its final round and will end on August 11th. That means it's time to talk about what's to come in Season 4. You might have seen our community update on Reddit last week that covered Tournament improvements. We are happy to announce that, with the start of Season 4, we are adding more Competitive Tournaments each day, including 2×2 Tournaments and Extra Modes!

EXPANDING THE SCHEDULE OF COMPETITIVE TOURNAMENTS IN SEASON 4

2×2 Tournaments have arrived and will function just like 3×3 Tournaments. Simply join a Competitive Tournament alone or with a teammate to enter a 32-team bracket and work your way to victory! With the addition of new Tournaments to the daily schedule, we didn't simply want to replace the existing 3×3 Tournaments. Therefore, the daily schedule of Competitive Tournaments is expanding to include more Tournaments in each region! We will add 8-13 additional tournaments per week in each region. Check the schedule every day to see which Tournament is best for you and your team.

Expanding the number of tournaments each day means that we can add different types of Tournaments to the schedule, such as Extra Mode Tournaments. Featured Extra Mode can change every day, so be sure to check each day's schedule of Tournaments in Brawl, Basketball, Snow Day and Dropshot! Teams will enter Extra Mode Tournaments according to their Ranking in the tournament, but that ranking will not be affected by their performance in Extra Mode Tournaments. However, in these tournaments, players will still receive Rocket League Credits and Tournament Winner Titles.

We will be mindful of the impact on these newly added time slots and modes and will adjust the schedule if necessary.

UPDATED TOURNAMENT INTERFACE

Along with an expanded schedule for Competitive Tournaments, Season 4 also comes with an updated look for the Tournament History tab. This new UI will show you a record of your history in Competitive Tournaments, including the date you entered, your ranking and Tournament Ranking. Speaking of Rankings, your Tournament Ranking will now be displayed on the Tournament Home screen.
