Whatever field is, the mistake is a common factor that everyone makes but the thing is learning from those mistakes is important as it improves your skills and carrier too.

In General transcription works, beginners generally make the most common mistakes which can range from the startlingly obvious (conbersation instead of conversation). Okay, let me share 4 grammatical errors that cannot be ignored by high quality general transcription services, so read them and try to improve them.

Atomic typos

Considering atomic typos should be a major concern for all transcriptionists. A lot of people assume that atomic typos mean some rejected comic books superhero’s name. But, the news is wrong. Atomic typos are words- think editing in the county rather than country, ban instead of bane, were instead of a wad, torn instead of thorn.

Homophones and Homonyms

It’s a quite general error that is usually found when a transcriptionist plays with words that sound the same but explain the various meaning, called homophones.

I’ve certain examples- it’s versus it, “you’re versus your”, “they’re versus their and there”, “affect and effect” “hear and here” and hi, and others.

To avoid these errors, you need to learn the meaning of each of these words and then focus on what’s the exact use in a given sentence.

Auto correct

This action presents in all-important word processing system and software when it does its intended work- discovering the proper word people just like when they write the jumbled messes they do- but in the case of unsuccessful, it fails spectacularly tough.

However, disabling the auto correct function isn’t an easy job, but don’t forget to check the spelling of the whole document once or twice.

Spelling errors

In our last mistake, dealing with spelling is difficult, and that’s why some transcriptionists fail to control it. Always double and triple-check every word you type in so that they don’t contain spelling mistakes that result because of putting much focus on writing speed.
