The Mountain View company has disclosed a research, carried out in collaboration with Compete, focused on online purchases in the clothing sector , from which however it is possible to draw universally valid advice.
1. The potential online customer knows what he is looking for (for example: a black dress), but has not yet decided which shop / brand to opt for: it is therefore up to you to capture his attention and have him buy it in your shop;
2. In support of what has just been said, most users visit 2 to 4 sites on average before making a purchase on one of these: even here, you will have to beat the competition by encouraging them to purchase on your platform (tips: call to ction buttons )
3. the choice of keywords for indexing your site / product sheets is essential: out of 10 visits, 9 users came to the e-commerce site starting from search engines;
4. What has just been said is confirmed by another data: most of the paths that end with the purchase (we are talking about 73%) start from the search for a category term;

This is where Adwords comes in : the position (of your ad) matters ; as you can guess, the top position rewards: an ad at the top is 35 times more effective in ferrying new customers to your site than an ad in a low position. Not only that, the top position also beats the ads that appear on the right of the serp (10 times more incisive).
According to Google, we should therefore aim for the top position to get the best possible number of contacts.
